Online Mindfulness Foundation Program



Target audience:
• People who have little or no knowledge of mindfulness and wish to learn more and start practicing it;

  • People who are interested in higher levels of resilience and well-being;

• Attendance at all 6 sessions is expected, with a recommended duration of at least 15 minutes of daily practice

Duration: 90 minutes per session x 6 sessions

If you look for ways to respond more skilfully to life's challenges, if you want to understand what mindfulness practice is; if you are intrigued by the possibility that mindfulness might empower you and improve your level of well-being; if you want to know why mindfulness practice is key to be strengthen your muscle of attention, this program is for you.

During 6 weeks you will be introduced to new skills to better respond to the challenges of your every day life, and sustainable change through mindfulness practice.

6-weeks to learn mindfulness practices, their benefits, and learn mindful ways to cultivate your own wellbeing, no matter what is going on in the world.

During each session we engage in mind-body practices, breathing exercises, mindfulness meditations.

The 6-week research based mindfulness program was developed at Oxford University and will help you improve your general well-being, and break the cycle of stress and mental exhaustion you have been experiencing for too long.


You will learn how to train the mind to purposefully pay attention to the present moment, without judging the experience. You will be introduced to the connection between the mind and the body, explore the habits of the mind, investigate stress triggers and one’s reactivity, understand anxiety and its impact. You will also learn how to cultivate kindness towards yourself and others.

Mindfulness practice might lead to:

• Improved sleep quality
• Reduction of stress and anxiety
• A more positive mindset
• Enhancement of relationships

The program includes:
* 6  90-minute weekly sessions
* audio files with guided practices
* handouts

The program starts with a mandatory ORIENTATION SESSION for those who wish to participate.

Silvia Vernaschi trained with the University of Oxford and with the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University, UK to teach different mindfulness curricula, namely the MBSR program and Finding Peace in a Frantic World.
